Come and celebrate Pembrokeshire Fish Week with us here at The Qube. This award-winning festival is a celebration of seafood as well as the county’s spectacular coastline, award-winning beaches and fascinating maritime heritage. There are plenty of events and activities, out of the 250 which will have been held, that you can take part in. Including cookery demonstrations and educational talks. Towns up and down the county also get involved throughout the week, for example Saundersfoot is hosting a festival on the harbour on Sunday 30th June.
Of course, one activity which must be done as part of Fish Week is sampling delicious seafood. As a restaurant which is proud to be in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby, we thought it is only right that we offer a variety of skilfully prepared seafood dishes. We are also keen to showcase the variety of seafood which we are lucky enough to have landed on our doorstep. As a result, we offer a daily fish special on our evening menu. This is always delicious and seasonal with Cadley crab salad or lobster featuring in the summer months. If you join us on a Sunday we have even included a fish of the day dish in our lunch menu as a mouth-watering alternative option all year round.
Our seafood dishes span across all our menus, so you won’t miss out whether you join us for lunch or in the evening, Dishes such as pan seared fillet of bass and king prawns with roast garlic, spinach, samphire and crushed Pembrokeshire potatoes feature on our lunch menu. Prawns, mussels and salmon tagliatelle in a rich velouté is also a firm favourite. We are keen to get children tasting seafood too, so steamed mussels with a choice of sauce is just one option on their menu.
We are fortunate to have great fishmongers, Paul and Deborah, who supply us much of our seafood, including our delicious hand-picked wild mussels. We are also happy to have skilled fisherman, Neil Thomas, who supply us with our locally caught shellfish. We have lots of other scrumptious dishes on our menu to suit every palete using ingredients from local suppliers. For example, Andrew Rees, our butcher from Narberth, supplies us with first class steak. This could be turned into surf and turf if you just can’t decide whether to have fish or not! So you see, if seafood isn’t something you enjoy, then don’t worry, you won’t miss out on a tasting experience here at The Qube.
If you chose to join us then we look forward to seeing you after a day of rock pooling, fishing, or taking part in one of the cooking masterclasses being held this week. However, if you can’t make it to Fish Week this year then you’ll be pleased to know we have seafood on our menus all year round.
