Senior dinner 2023

Senior Christmas Dinner 2023

It’s only Christmas once the senior citizens of Tenby and Saundersfoot have attended their annual festive free dinner. The Qube Restaurant, Tenby Round Table and Tenby Town Council have done it again, with this year’s senior citizens’ Christmas dinner extravaganza under their belt.

On Wednesday the 13th December, Tenby recipients received their Christmas dinner in a hall buzzing with festive commotion and good cheer. A whopping 180 people filled the room, and the joy was infectious. On Sunday 17th, the senior citizens of Saundersfoot had their turn in The Regency Hall. A smaller, but no less cheerful, group of 100 people attended.

Qube proprietor Matthew Ronowitz is currently getting through his stack of Christmas cards from grateful attendees. He says, ‘It’s my favourite part of the event!’.

The operation was run by a keen team of cheerful volunteers- coordinated, cooked and served by Matthew and the whole Ronowitz clan. Support also came from The Tenby Round Table, Tenby Town Council, The Saundersfoot Lions, The Cove Bar & Lounge, Ronni’z Lounge, The De Valence Pavilion, The Regency Hall, Andrew Rees Butchers, Four Seasons Farm Shop and Florist, Charlton Cards and Coors Brewery.

Qube Burns night

Burns Night

It’s never long before you’ll find The Qube Restaurant in the paper for some charitable deed or other. This month, the popular local eatery held a Burn’s Night celebration supporting ‘Save The Children’, and they pulled out all the stops!

On the 25th January, bagpipes and traditional songs could be heard in Tenby Square, as the popular Scottish celebration was in full swing. Inside, guests enjoyed a traditional three course meal, including such classics as ‘Cullen Skink’, Haggis and ‘Cranachan’.

Between the profits and raffle, the jolly event raised £735 for Save The Children, as well as bringing some much needed celebration to an otherwise sleepy January.

The Qube has long since established itself as a community-driven restaurant, and we look forward to seeing what’s in store for the rest of the year.

Senior Christmas Dinner 2022

They’ve done it again! The Qube Group, Tenby Round Table, The De Valence Pavilion Trust and Tenby Town Council have conducted yet another successful senior citizens’ Christmas dinner this year. The best part? It was back in The De Valence Pavilion, finally reinstating the social element many had sorely missed.
On Wednesday the 14th December, happy recipients received their Christmas dinner in a hall buzzing with festive commotion and good cheer. A staggering 150 people filled the room, and the joy was infectious. Edward Spence of Tenby Town Council said, “It was fantastic to welcome Tenby’s senior citizens back to the De Valence after a two year enforced break.”
Qube proprietor Matthew Ronowitz is currently getting through his stack of Christmas cards from grateful attendees. He says, ‘It’s my favourite part of the event!’
The operation was a family affair! Coordinated, cooked and served by Matthew and the whole Ronowitz clan, including Elliot Ronowitz of The Cove Bar & Lounge. Support also came from The Tenby Round Table, Tenby Town Council, The De Valence Pavilion Trust, The De Valence Pavilion, Andrew Rees Butchers, Charlton Cards and Coors Brewery.
Qube beer festival

Tenby Beer Festival

Tenby Round Table’s beloved Beer Festival broke new records this past weekend, raising £7.5K for charity through ticket sales. The Qube Group were there right alongside them, sponsoring the event for the ninth year running.

In a gesture of support and sustainability, The Qube Group sponsored reusable plastic pint glasses for the event, which went down a storm with our increasingly eco-conscious youth.

Boasting a huge range of beers, ciders and the more decadent Prosecco bar, this year’s festival catered to everyone, and did it in style. The entertainment was jolly and upbeat, mimicking the atmosphere in the famous Oktoberfest tents.

The Qube Group looks forward to stepping up for this charitable event next year. Dates will be released shortly on the Tenby Beer Festival Facebook page.

RNLI Coffee Morning & Fish & Chip Supper

“The Qube Restaurant have shown themselves to be firm supporters of the RNLI over the years, hosting annual fish and chip suppers to fundraise for the cause.

This year’s do was back in-house and better than ever, raising a fantastic £240.

Most recently, The Qube hosted a charitable coffee morning including the sale of cards and gifts, coffee and cakes, and a raffle.

With such community events having been scarce since the pandemic, this humble coffee morning was gratefully received by the local community, and the event was a hit.

A hearty £790 was raised for the RNLI on the two events, and indeed, local spirits were raised as well.”

Matthew and Elliot Ronowitz of The Qube Restaurant and The Cove Bar & Lounge have donated a whopping thousand pounds worth of toys to PATCH, Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship.

Organisers say ‘The donation was absolutely amazing, fantastic gifts that have helped so so much.'”
